Dear Freshmen,

„Glück auf“ and welcome to Freiberg! We are the Student Council 1 for Mathematics and Computer Science (FSR1 for short)—the “class representatives,” so to speak, for you as future mathematicians, computer scientists, and robotics engineers!

But unlike typical class representatives, we also organize some great events to help you feel comfortable and at home in Freiberg. We’ve planned the following events specifically for the freshman orientation weeks:

• Meet-Up Evening (October 7, 2026, 5:00 p.m., in Room MIB-1113 (Akademiestraße 6))
• City Rallye (October 9, 2026, 4:30 p.m., Mittelbau courtyard, entrance via Prüferstraße)
• Barbecue Evening (October 14, 2026, 6:30 p.m., Mittelbau courtyard, entrance via Prüferstraße)

Also, don’t miss the subject-specific introduction event for Faculty 1. There, you’ll find the most important information about your degree program, the course of study, and your personal class schedules.

But that’s not all! The Student Council, the student clubs, the other student councils, and many other organizations, committees, and student groups also offer a colorful and varied program. Just check out our official freshman website!
